It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Michael Duarard of Young Systems. Michael had dropped by my office and at that time, we had two Xerox WorkCentre 7225 MFPs under a lease and maintenance agreement. Michael was respectful of my time, but made the sincere effort to get to know our office and asked if we had any challenges we were struggling with. I admit I was a bit frustrated with the lack of service response from our vendor. I agreed to Michael’s offer to do an assessment which included an analysis of our print activity and an audit of our lease and maintenance agreement.
A few days later Michael returned with his assessment. I was shown a breakdown in my print volumes for each of my MFPs along with the associated costs. I appreciated the clarity as now I had a better idea of how much the cost of print was impacting my overhead, but Michael then proceeded to share a few recommendations which he thought would be worth my consideration.
Michael pointed out in his assessment that my office only used letter-sized paper. As such, rather than utilizing larger MFPs, Michael introduced me to a number of other MFP options that were smaller in footprint, but did not compromise in speed and productivity. Ultimately we went with two Canon imageRUNNER DX C257if MFPs. Despite being smaller devices, the recommended Canon’s have proven to be durable enough to handle my office’s print load while at the same time saving some office space due to the smaller footprint.
Financially, Michael was able to reduce our monthly spend by over $400 per month which translated to over $5,000 per year in savings. If that wasn’t enough, Michael was able to accomplish all of this in a shorter 36-month term lease (which we personally preferred) versus the longer six year lease Xerox had us on.
Michael did not try to oversell us, which has been my experience with other representatives I have dealt with in the past. Michael got to know our needs and gave us a solution that was the right fit. I sincerely appreciated how Michael was also present at our office during and installation of our new devices to insure the transition was smooth and that we were taken care of.
I would recommend Michael Duarard and the Young Systems team to anyone who is locked in a lease and is looking to make a change and/or look for ways to reduce their financial burden during these challenging times. I value their ongoing support and appreciate all that they have done for University Medical.
